We have always heard people talk about how they believed God for miracles and how they got their miracles, but we had never experienced what it felt like to have a dire need of a miracle on a specific challenge till we got married. We got married on the 9th of December 2006 and just like every newly wed, we believed that in the next ten months we would have our baby but that never happened. Two years into it, it became clear that we needed a miracle for the fruit of the womb. At one time my wife was diagnosed with ovarian cyst. She then booked an appointment to see Pastor Nkechi. At the meeting, Pastor prayed and believed with my wife and asked her to go for a second scan, and she went and the scan result showed that the cyst was gone. My wife got healed of ovarian cyst but we still believed God for the fruit of the womb.
During this period, people asked my wife to go for “belly massage.” Some others advised her to go for herbal treatment, while some kept inviting us for different Church programs in their Churches, but we had earlier made up our minds to trust God 100% for the fruit of the womb no mater what!
Then, we started receiving prophecies from our Pastors concerning the fruit of the womb. I remember vividly Pastor Nkechi prophesying when we dedicated our car in 2008 and I quote, “Your wife and your children will enjoy the air conditioning in this car.” That stuck to my mind.
On the 31st Night Service of 2010 after the fire works session, my wife and I decided to see Pastor Nkechi and wish her a happy new year. When we got to where she was chatting with other church folks, she hugged us and said again, I quote, “This is going to be a good year for you because God will visit your marriage.” Again we held unto that prophecy. During Discovering Treasures 2010, the guest speaker, Pastor Sola Kolade, made an alter call for those believing God for the fruit of the womb and we received the word of prophecy. All through, we kept receiving words of prophecies concerning the fruit of the womb. Again Pastor Charles gave us a word of prophecy saying that God is visiting couples believing God for the fruit of the womb that same year. He said we should not be afraid to receive. So it was that with each prophecy came stronger assurance of the faithfulness of God.
On the 14th of November 2010 in her message “As it is in heaven” (Part 16), Pastor Nkechi spoke on “The ‘Pele’ of God” and she said that the purpose of the “Pele” of God was to light up the world so that the world could see that there is a God of miracles who still gives babies to those that are called barren. She instructed that we should go on our knees right there and ask God for whatever miracles we were believing for. My wife keyed into that prophetic word with a seed, and held her tummy in both hands and started thanking God for the fruit of the womb.
When we got home, we started confessing that my wife will not see her period that month and we just kept thanking God for the fruit of the womb. My wife’s menstrual cycle was supposed to start the next day being the 15th of November but that day came and there was no sign of it. Before now she had started having funny feelings and we started thanking God for His faithfulness.
She told our family group leader and a few friends about the pregnancy and booked an appointment to see Pastor Nkechi, and after that we went for a pregnancy test, which came out positive. We had confirmed the pregnancy test to be positive before her appointment with Pastor Nkechi, so on the appointment day, my wife told her the good news and she prayed and agreed with us that she would carry the pregnancy to full term and deliver safely. Indeed, the battle is not for the swift, neither is it by any man’s might but God’s alone. He is faithful and remains true to His Word if only we can believe and put our trust in Him.
