Dear Partner,
Happy Thanksgiving in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! His sacrifice for us has given us so many reasons to praise and give our thanks to God the Father. We must keep our gusher of praise flowing!!!
Three months ago, we began to talk about the importance and power of words. A topic that is sadly still not a revelation to so many of God’s children.
We have been asking and answering the question, “What is that in your mouth?” We said:
• IT IS WHAT IS IN YOUR HEART
• IT IS THE KEY TO LIFE AND DEATH
The third and final answer we will look at now is this:
IT IS YOUR PRAISE!!!
5 For You are my hope, O Lord GOD; You are my trust from my youth.
6 By You I have been upheld from birth; You are He who took me out of my mother’s womb. My praise shall be continually of You.
7 I have become as a wonder to many, but You are my strong refuge.
8 Let my mouth be filled with Your praise and with Your glory all the day.
Psalm 71:5-8 NKJV
16 Rejoice always,
17 pray without ceasing,
18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NKJV
All the day means just that, irrespective of whether it felt like a good day or a bad day – His praise should be found in your mouth all the time and in everything.
14 But I will hope continually, and will praise You yet more and more.
15 My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness and Your salvation all the day, for I do not know their limits.
16 I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only.
17 O God, You have taught me from my youth; and to this day I declare Your wondrous works.
18 Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.
19 Also Your righteousness, O God, is very high, You who have done great things; O God, who is like You?
Psalm 71:14-19 NKJV
15 My mouth shall tell of Your righteous acts and of Your deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is more than I know.
Psalm 71:15 AMP
There should be no limit or boundary to your praise because there is no limit or boundary to His salvation – His saving grace touched every area of your life – no limits! Every day, we discover more by revelation as our minds are being renewed by the Word of God, and we are taught by the Spirit of God. As we see more, we yet praise Him more and more and our praise is continually of Him.
5 Let the saints be joyful in glory; let them sing aloud on their beds.
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand,
7 To execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples;
8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
9 To execute on them the written judgment — This honour have all His saints. Praise the LORD!
Psalm 149:5-9 NKJV
Partner, when you praise Him, regardless of how you feel, the enemy and all he has to offer are bound – impotent and ineffective. That is the two-edged sword, referred to as the Word of God in the Church Age.
12 For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
Hebrews 4:12-13 NKJV
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God;
18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
Ephesians 6:17-18 NKJV
That is how you execute the written judgment and condemn every decree that has been spoken against you. Praise the ONE who is for you and not against you!
17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord.
Isaiah 54:17 NKJV
Praise is the best kind of warfare there is. Let it be found in your mouth!
21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD, and all flesh shall bless His holy name forever and ever.
Psalm 145:21 NKJV
1 When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream.
2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”
3 The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad.
Psalm 126:1-3 NKJV
When you praise Him, all flesh will see and will ultimately join you to proclaim His goodness forever!
Glory to God! If you attend a Bible believing church where you are taught the undiluted Word of God, I encourage you to freely engage in your thanksgiving to God this season and praise Him with your sacrifices of praise and your material and financial sacrifices. Nothing is too much to give to God in thanksgiving. It is thanks + giving remember?
